Day 39 - Enemy uses napalm
1/4/2023
Today we attacked 87 degrees. It had:
- a lot of sastrugi
- sticky snow
- uphill
- one valley where expensive meters had to be sacrificed skiing downhill.
Despite all the above, we had a good skiing day. We reached our goal just in time, which was 1/4 degree.
Mikko brought a little extra excitement to the day by lying awake the previous night (whatever was his world-weariness). The man skied so erratically that sometimes I had to look after him to ensure he didn't accidentally go north.
Picture of the day
[Mikko] "God, the enemy is using napalm here!"
So the picture shows Mikko's inner thigh. First, it got a few manifestations from Polar Thighs. Then Granuflex was put on it for protection, which was not so "flex" after all, and it tore wounds during skiing into the surrounding skin. This trip will also leave him with impressive scars!
