Day 45 - Great skiing weather
1/10/2023
Today was absolutely wonderful skiing weather: the sun shone all day, and there was practically no wind. The snow was also much easier to ski than yesterday because the wind didn't throw it around and the snow had had time to harden. There were still sastrugi, but they were so low that it wasn't necessary to go around much.
Due to various adjustments, we had to shorten the day by an hour. Tomorrow we will continue where we left off.
In the picture of the day, the freight train moves towards the South Pole in the first leg this morning.
